De Toekomst van Brabant is the traineeprogramme of 15 local governments in the province of Brabant. Data-driven working is becoming increasingly important in the government. In the trainee
program you will develop into a professional in the field of data and information management by working on current issues at various municipalities like Oss, Eindhoven, ‘s- Hertogenbosch or the Water Authority AaenMaas. Your personal and professional skills will be boosted by our intensive
training program.

As a trainee you will carry out three assignments at various government organizations. Based on your talents and interests, we will determine which assignment is most suitable. For example, you advise the Safety team based on data on drug waste dumping. Or you can help optimize the development of
the train station area with data about bus transport. Or you help colleagues in the social department to get more insight in indications for healthcare facilities, based on data.

You help local governments to increase the use of IT and data to make their work more effective. Sometimes you develop a prototype dashboard, other times you draw up an information plan or you start working on making data accessible. You will gradually develop into an advisor, researcher or project lead who can bridge the gap between data, information and sociatal issues.
